Children from Iqra School visited Police station Steindamm.

Police Superintendent Mr. Falinski and Mr. Ehlers visited us on Saturday at 13:00. The purpose of visit was to explained the children about traffic rules and regulation. The Know how about Police and their daily work in Hamburg. The children went with Policemen to the Police station where the Policemen showed them daily routine work. Mr. Falinski explained the children through Question Answer session about the duty of Policeman. He asked the children for e.g. why we need police? What is the meaning of emblem on the Police cap and on uniform? What the Policeman always carry with them (for e.g. Handcuffs, Stick, lamp etc.)? How to behave during the traffic light is red and even green? The children were very active during the whole session and showed their interest. For e.g. they ask Mr. Falinski who is eligible for applying as Policeman? Policemen were enthusiastic about the children that they took Part actively in the Session and listen everything very carefully.
After the Question Answers Session Mr. Falinski built two groups, one with Mr. Falinski and the other with Mr. Ehlers. Both groups had visited the different areas of the police station. Mr. Falinski and Mr. Ehlers showed the children following areas of the Police station:
Control room where the Police receive telephone call.
Room for the children, if they lost their parent in the city or somewhere else.
Investigation room and Lock up for the criminals for maximum 6 hours.
After that the Policemen showed the police car. They explained about the different equipment in the car and how and when they use this equipment. for e.g. Hooter, Blue light etc. Mr. Falinski and Mr. Ehlers explained everything in detail with patience.
